"T.G.I.F.
(Team God is First)"
Sports has a way of uniting us when nothing else will, and we all have our favorite team and our favorite sport. Whether it's the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Oakland Raiders, New York Giants, or the Memphis Grizzlies. Whether it's baseball, basketball, boxing, golf, socceror football. Many times it's sports that brings us to a sense of oneness/unity. After 9/11 it was a baseball game that brought a sense of oneness; after the release of Nelson Mandela, it was a soccer game that help to bridge the gap of apartheid in South Africa. Now with all the trouble that we face with oil spills and a struggling economy this "renewed rivalry" between Boston and LA have people talking to each other about something other than how bad the times are. We all have our team, but I suggest to you a team that's never lost a game, a team that's always in the "playoffs," a team that comes out on top every time, always wins the championship and are the undefeated champions....Team God! And since "Team God Is First," why not trust God to do for you what you can't do for yourself. Since "Team God Is First," why don't you live in victory each and every day? Tonight as you watch the game or maybe hear about the outcome, know that if you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, you are a winner! And remember "your faith in God has given you victory over the world" (TGIF).
Be blessed,
